My Approach
Everything I ever got good at was just me learning all the ways not to do it. And that’s more or less how I think about coaching: a great, big learning opportunity.
Together, we’re going to learn what makes you tick and thrive. And, equally importantly, what depletes you, dragging you down.
With that map in-hand, we can start to break down the aspects of potential decisions into those various buckets (pros and cons, but with context).
Next, we’ll fill the gaps and find points of reference to help us compensate for whatever’s missing; be it a first-hand experience, a cautionary tale, a potential mentor, or a good book.
Lastly, we’re going to put this decision into context and buttress it with metrics. How does this next thing respond to whatever you liked or disliked about the thing that came before? What data are we going to look for once we make this decision that will help us learn and grow for the next big choice?
After all, that’s how we get better at making these big decisions: we practice and we pay attention.

Look, I’m not the expert of your life, and I’m certainly not a wise guru. And just like you’re growing and flawed and doing your best, so am I! Whatever decision you’re facing, I can’t guarantee that you’ll be thrilled with the result. But I promise to be your partner at each step of the way, carefully separating the data from distraction and methodically bringing the focus back to the big goals we’ll build together.
